REVEALED: The contract De Gea signed with Real Madrid before transfer collapse

Whistle-blowing website Football Leaks have revealed the contract that David de Gea had signed before the collapse of his move to Real Madrid from Manchester United.

The goalkeeper looked set to complete his dream move to the Santiago Bernabeu when the teams reached an agreement on the last day of the summer transfer deadline, but the deal broke down at the last minute because of an issue with the paperwork.

And the website, which has released the contracts and transfer agreements of the likes of Toni Kroos, Gareth Bale, Radamel Falcao, Mesut Ozil and Anthony Martial and are currently under investigation from the Portuguese authorities over claims of blackmail, have announced the full details of the deal that awaited him in the Spanish capital.

The shot stopper agreed a six-year contract with the Liga giants and would have earned €11,818,182.per year.

Madrid would have held on to 50 per cent of the Spain international's image rights, but agreed to pay him almost €11m as a signing on fee, meaning he would have earned over €80m had he completed the move and stayed with the club for the full length of the deal.
