Mary J. Blige's ex-husband asks for a massive amount of money per month in temporary spousal support

According to TMZ, Mary's ex-husband Martin "Kendu" Isaacs is asking for an insane amount of temporary spousal support per month. Mr. Isaacs first put in his request for support in September.

While Blige has filed to deny her former husband any money while they work out their divorce, Martin is asking for $129,319 EVERY thirty days. The singer's ex-manager believes it's a fair sum in light of the lavish lifestyle he's grown accustomed to over the course of their 12-year marriage.

In addition, Isaacs argues he's out of work now that he's no longer working for Ms. Blige.

As for the celeb's finances, she's about to make bank considering she's currently on tour with an upcoming album. In the past two years Mary has made about $1.5-$5 million dollars in revenue.

It will be quite interesting to see how this case plays out in court, especially since the two have a prenup. We wonder if a judge will believe Martin's claim that the prenup is void since it allegedly wasn't signed with his lawyer present.

Bovi gets surprise birthday party

Despite being all the way in America, Bovi’s wife, Kris Asimonye threw the popular comedian, Bovi a surprise birthday party in Lagos.

The lovely surprise party was all her idea but she got her sister to put her plan to fruition. Kris, who is currently in America to deliver their third child had everything properly arranged without giving Bovi any hint.

The plan was subtle and being miles away, it was hard for Bovi to suspect what was happening. The whole thing took him by surprise and being a sharp guy, he knew he missed this one. She then teased him on Instagram for not suspecting her plans.

Actress Jennifer Eliogu traumatized after being robbed

On Sunday, April 10, 2016 Nollywood actress Jennifer Eliogu was robbed in Lagos and the experience has left her traumatized and shocked beyond words ever since.

She took to her Facebook account to recount the experience afterwards, explaining that the robbers made away with her jewelries, phones and ATM cards with which they withdrew as much cash as they could from her bank accounts.

Here’s how she narrated the ordeal:

“I write with a heart filled with gratitude to God for his mercies are unending. 

“I had a terrible experience with the men of the underworld on Sunday night, they blocked my vehicle on Ojuelegba bridge, a Honda Accord in front, a small ash colored car behind, four armed men, three of them got into my car, letting their previous victim go while they drove off with me in the passenger seat and the other small car trailing behind. 

“My girlfriend who was driving in front of me noticed there was a problem and tried to confront them, [they] scared [her] off [with] their gun. 

“They drove [me to] an ATM machine, asked for my pin and withdrew as much as limit permitted on both my accounts, [then] they took my [phones] and jewelries, the little cash I had in my purse and then used my car to block another victim, leaving me on the bridge to find my way. 

“The last two days have [been] very traumatic for me as I’m still in shock. If not for God, I refuse to imagine what could have happened. 

“Vicky [my friend] had made reports at different police stations, luckily I blocked off my line but it seems that somehow, they might try to get in touch with persons on my phone list, whatsApp and Imo, [please] if u are on my contact list on either and [you] receive messages supposedly from me, [please] call me for confirmation.”

Jennifer Eliogu is a Nollywood actress who has enjoyed relative success in the industry over the years.

Though she claims to be married, she reportedly left her Switzerland based husband and returned to Nigeria after some time to continue her acting career.

Jennifer told Nigeriafilms.com in 2013 that she had to make the painful but practical decision as she couldn’t stand being a full time house wife.

On speculations that the collapse of her marriage informed her decision to relocate to Nigeria, she answered: “It is not true. We are still married, but I have already told you we have challenges and we are working around those challenges.”

The cases of robbery present a sorry situation and have left many in surprise considering the current efforts from the Lagos state government and the Nigerian police force to rid the state of criminal activities.

In a related development, four armed men attacked a convent at the SS Joachim and Anne Catholic church, Ijegun, Lagos on Saturday, April 9.

They forcefully entered the premises, found their way into the rooms and carted away valuables including phones, laptops and cash.

According to PM News, one of the security guards present at the scene of the attack was seriously injured as the robbers ensured there was no obstacle before them during and after the operation.

Similarly, on Tuesday, April 12, five armed men disguised as patients and attacked a private hospital in Shibiri, Ajangbadi, Lagos state.

They also made away with valuables but two of the five-man gang, Babatunde Bamidele and Idowu Balogun, were arrested.

According to The Punch, they were immediately taken to the Ajangbadi police station for questioning.

This leaves the state in a precarious condition given the spate of robbery attacks could have a negative effect on businesses, lives and properties within the Lagos metropolis.

Estranged lover of Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu, and CEO Ebony Films, Seun Egbegbe, has reacted to the ongoing rift between them.

The crack in their relationship started when news circulated that Egbegbe allegedly beat up Aimakhu, a claim which the actress vehemently denied.

As the rift between the separated lovers lingers, the movie marketer who says he is still pained by the disgraceful manner in which Aimakhu dumped him, opened up on a few ills about her saying, ‘she is never satisfied.’

In a chat with Encomium magazine, Egbegbe said but for him, the actress would not have met fame.

He said,

“I used to eat that small girl before she ever dreamt of acting. I introduced her to my friend that was how she found fame. 

“To be honest with you, I deflowered her long before she met that toy boy; mark my words, she will never settle because there is nothing you give her that will satisfy her. 

“I used yoyo bitter and every bitter herbs in the market but my performance never satisfied her. 

“What else does she want from me? I have my life to live please let her go forever,” he added.

Debunking the claims that he ‘kidnapped’ Aimakhu from her ex-husband, Egbegbe said, “First, I never snatched Toyin Aimakhu from any body.

“Toyin and I have not just known each other. We have been dating ever before she knew her husband (Adeniyi Johnson, whom she also divorced).

Recall that in November 2015, Aimakhu started dating Egbegbe as her marriage to Johnson hit the rocks.

The actress had divorced Adeniyi Johnson on grounds that he cheated on her.

Despite several pleas from Johnson, the actress moved on with her life and eventually met Egbegbe whom she is no longer dating.

Speaking further, Egbegbe said, “She wasn’t with her husband anymore before we rekindled our romance.

“Why would they say I kidnapped my girlfriend? If Toyin wasn’t on movie location, that means she was with me and anytime she’s through at the location she comes back to my house,” Egbegbe quipped.

Tonto did not only end it there, she took to her Instagram to share some of the lifetime memories she would love to share with her son as he grows up. Tonto Dikeh posted a picture of a mother talking to her son with the caption:

Popular Yoruba actress, Taiwo Aromokun has revealed that her marriage to her Holland-based hubby, Olayemi Abimbola, popularly known as Ogun of Holland, has packed up.

The role-interpreter, who relocated back to Nigeria from UK with her twin boys a few weeks ago, made this disclosure in a recent TV interview, while also stating that the most important things to her now is taking care of her two kids and concentrate more on her job.

‘I am no longer in marriage. I made a big mistake going into that marriage and I have realized my mistakes,’ She said.

Speaking on what’s next for her, the Lagos State University graduate said, ‘I am not ready for any relationship for now. You know what, I still believe in love and I am advising ladies who have found true love to hold on to it because it exists but for me. I need to concentrate on my work and my talk show which will be coming up possibly in May, 2016.’

Taiwo got married to Ogun of Holland on December 26, 2012 at the Ikoyi Marriage Registry, Lagos. She relocated to U.K. shortly after the wedding where she had her adorable twin boys, Jade and Jamine.

What led to the marriage crash, according to those in the know, was that Taiwo reportedly found out that her husband is allegedly married to a white woman in Holland and they have two kids together. The Ogun-state born socialite reportedly tricked the actress to marry her and it was later on that she discovered that the man she is married to actually lied to her.

In order to avoid immigration trouble, Ogun of Holland, is said to have returned to his wife in Holland and Taiwo, who couldn’t stand it anymore, decided to pull out of the union.

When the actress was asked in a recent interview with Saturday Beats whether she was currently in a relationship, the screen diva simply said, “I should be dating, don’t you think so?”

She further said that she would get married when the time comes, urging her fans to keep calm on issues that border on her private life.

“I will settle down whenever it comes, it is a thing of the mind, so when you think your mind is ready to settle down, you will. For me, it could be now, it could be tomorrow, next year or next five years. For instance, male fans will always try to woo me, it’s part of living, but you have to have a polite way of saying no. If I say no, I mean no,” she said.

Asked how she feels about the fact that controversies seem to always hound her, Sylvanus said that she had been in the industry for a long while and so used to rumours being peddled about her. She described it as part of being relevant in the movie industry.

She said, “Controversy is part of life. If nobody talks about you, then you don’t exist. So, it is good when people talk about you. It helps you to shape up your life, it makes you to work harder to surprise people the more and make them understand that it is not really about what they think; it’s about who you are and who you want to be.”

Monalisa Chinda ready to remarry?

Nollywood actress, Monalisa Chinda, whose marriage to the Question Mark label boss, Dejo Richards, crashed about seven years ago, may be warming up to give marriage another chance.

If the buzz making the rounds is anything to reckon with, then the 41-year-old mother of one will be walking down the aisle before the end of this month.

Sources close to the actress revealed that she would be tying the nuptial knots with one Victor Coker, who is said to hail from the Niger Delta region.

Recall that her marriage to ex-husband, Segun Dejo-Richard, hit the rocks as a result of purported domestic violence.

According to reports, the beautiful actress is currently engaged to the said Victor Coker, who paid her bride price in December 2015, at their introduction ceremony. They have chosen February 20th as their engagement date and an undisclosed date in May 2016, for the white wedding scheduled to hold in Greece.

It was further gathered that the traditional wedding would take place at the actress’ father’s compound in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, with a few of her celebrity friends in attendance.

Recall that Monalisa once said that she regretted being divorced. According to her,

“One thing I regret most is the fact that I am divorced. Where I come from, I’m the first daughter. I’m from a royal family, it has never been on record in my family that the first daughter would walk out of her matrimonial home. Ailing Yoruba actor Olumide Bakare speaks on his heart disease

On January 24, 2016 veteran actor Olumide Bakare was rushed to University College Hospital, UCH in Ibadan, Oyo State after suffering from cardiac arrest.

Last week Nigerians saw the shocking pictures of the talented actor on his sick bed as he tried his best to cope with his heart and lung diseases.

Olumide Bakare has cried out for financial help to help him deal with this ailment.

The actor has now granted his first interview since he was admitted to UCH. In his interview with City People Olumide Bakare spoke at the origin of his ailment.

“It has started since 2013 but it wasn’t as bad as it is now. We have treated it but you know things like that don’t go easily. About 15 days ago, the sickness resurfaced and I was rushed to the emergency unit of the University College Hospital, Ibadan where I have been admitted” Olumide Bakare told City People.

The Yoruba actor revealed the exact ailment he is suffering from. “After the test was conducted, the result revealed that I am suffering from ‘Dissecting Aortic Aneurysm and Pulmonary Embolism’ which has to do with heart related issues. From the diagram, it showed that there is a blockage in the vein that takes blood to the heart.”

Olumide Bakare now takes 4 injections daily called Clexane. Each injection costs over N14,000 each, and Olumide Bakare has been on it for 21 days.

Kylie Jenner look-alike spotted leaving Tyga’s house after allegedly spending the night

Tyga has some explaining to do. Though the rapper kept his mouth shut about his on-again, off-again relationship with Kylie Jenner in his latest article with DuJour, writers Jessica Morgan and Heather Cocks let it be known that Val Mercado, the aspiring model that was recently seen hanging out with Tyga, was spotted leaving his Sunset Strip home moments before their sit-down.

According to the two scribes, Mercado, who bares a resemblance to Jenner, was “scantily clad” while “huddled outside the gate, shivering in the light drizzle” as she waited for her ride when they arrived to Tyga’s house with their photography crew.

“The girl’s hair is matted and slept-on, the extension tape visible from the back, and she taps her toe nervously while awaiting her ride. She is clearly wearing last night’s shorts,” the writers claimed. “So leaving a random, scantily clad ladyfriend on your doorstep in the rain, right when the media is scheduled to arrive, seems like gutsy optics. Or at least an argument for buying a day planner.”

However, in his actual interview, Tyga wasn’t so keen on opening up to the public about his love life. Morgan and Cocks noted that Tyga’s publicist “took pains to assert” that the 26-year-old “refuses to discuss his personal life” in interviews.

“I only like people to know what I want them to know,” Tyga did manage to say. “People didn’t know what Tupac was doing. That’s why he was so iconic. Before [the internet], it was real superstars.”

He continued,

“I don’t engage with people that much. You can’t base your life off waking up every morning like, ‘What are people saying about me now?’ Then I’d never stay in my creative headspace. I just want to put all my answers in the music.”

Rob Kardashian joins snapchat as Blac Chyna stakes her claim

Rob Kardashian has joined Snapchat. The notoriously reclusive reality star made his debut on Monday, posting a video of himself in which he appeared to be in good spirits, laughing and smiling.

The 28-year-old’s girlfriend, Blac Chyna, took to her own account to encourage fans to follow his account, but had a warning for any girls who may get a little too friendly with her man on the app.

“Lemme tell you all something, don’t be snapping my boo that p****y. I ain’t f***ing playin,” she said in the video. Classy. Later, Tyga’s former fiancée posted a sexy photo of herself wearing a fishnet dress with nothing else to Instagram. “Eat your heart out,” she wrote. 

Kardashian’s first Snapchat comes just days after he reportedly drove to Austin, Texas, to pick up Chyna after she was arrested on Friday evening. The mother of one was taken into custody on charges of public intoxication and possession of ecstasy pills.

I married my wife a virgin - Omotola's husband confesses

Captain Mathew Ekeinde, husband of popular Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade claims she was a virgin when he married her.

He said, ”I have always believed and still believed it was God’s arrangement, I met my wife when she was 16 and married her when she was 18 so I knew her for 2 years but she has always been a lot older than her age in terms of her maturity, her physical structure, and the way she thinks. She is way ahead of her peers in her IQ.

''Of course I am older than her for 10 years and that was never a barrier, it was just something that just happened, I saw her and I fell in love with her and of course because I had always wanted to marry a virgin and she had turned 18 then and she seemed to fit into every item on the list I had written I wanted in a woman, for me the age difference was not an issue, the age of consent in Nigeria is 18, infact that was why I waited for her actually so it just happened, I can’t tell you why, nothing really specific but its heaven’s arrangement.”

He however failed to disclose whether or not he was a virgin when he married his virgin wife.

In a recent feud with popular Cool FM’s On Air Personality Freeze, who posted the picture of a basket saying people should resurrect Basketmouth’s ailing career by donating a joke due to his poor performance at the Olamide’s concert concert held on Sunday, December 27, in Lagos.

However, in response to his social media rantings, Basket mouth also used the same medium to make his voice heard by posting a picture of a refrigerator and comparing the amount of followers they both have on their social media accounts and why he is even wasting his time replying to his statement.

Revealing his plans for the first quarter of 2016, Basketmouth in an interview with Hip TV speaks on releasing his first movie. He spoke on the possibility of bringing American comedian and actor Kevin Hart to his concert which has been slated to hold in Nigerian and South Africa before the end of 2016.
