Imo state first lady , Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha yesterday headed over two thousand female students , women and teachers in the state on a protest match, demanding the immediate rescue of the abducted girls.
The protest match which started off at the City school, Owerri saw them matching through major streets in the state capital and ended at the Freedom square where prayers were offered for divine intervention for the freedom of the girls.
Mrs Okorocha during her speech expressed deep concern on the state of the girls, describing it as unimaginable.
She noted that she has been in constant touch with the wife of the governor of Borno State, assuring her that the Imo state government share in their struggle.

“Injury to one is injury to all, let us close ranks and join in praying to God for the release of the children, it is unimaginable the plight of the girls , our God we serve will surely bring them back” Mrs Okorocha said.Also, the Imo state first lady advised that the earlier the girls are released, the better as she noted that the continual detention of the girls is daily affecting girls psychologically, therefore making them to leave in fear.
