Kenyan artiste Charles Njagua Kanyi aka Jaguar has fire shots at winner of 2008 MTN Project Fame West Africa, Iyanya. He claims that the Nigerian singer exploited and worked with him just to gain popularity in East Africa.
Jaguar told a Kenyan publication that his collaboration with Iyanya on the track ‘One Centimeter” remix is not getting any airplay in Nigeria and Mr Oreo didn’t do anything to promote the song in Nigeria.
He said Iyanya decided to work with him just because of the fame, and that the performer wants to gain popularity in East Africa.
The Kenyan artiste also made reference to an artiste, Sauti Sol who collaborated with Iyanya on “Sura Yako” remix and the song hardly got played in Nigeria.
Charles revealed that the “Kukere” singer wants the video to be shot in Nigeria and directed by Clarence Peters, he said he agreed for the video to be shot in Nigeria but it will be directed by a Kenyan director named Thome.
