A presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Wednesday said the ruling Peoples Democratic Party would destroy the country if it was not stopped in the 2015 elections.
Buhari said this while addressing party delegates that would vote in the APC presidential primaries slated for December 10 in Calabar, Cross River State.
He said the country had lost so much in the last 15 years that the PDP had been in power.
He said, “We have lost so much. What has become of the Nigeria Airways, our shipping lines, railways among others. Infrastructure is going down and also the rising level of insecurity.
“The PDP has failed badly in its 15 years of rule so far. Everything is going down in spite of all the money. What are they doing with the money?
“We must stop the PDP from destroying this country. If we don’t get rid of the PDP, the PDP will get rid of Nigerians. We are fed up. Whatever your sentiments let us work together and rebuild this country.”
He urged the people to get their permanent voter cards to enable them to vote next year.
“Make sure you get the PVC, because it is only with it that you can vote out the PDP,” he said.
He solicited the support of the delegates, saying that he would do his best if voted to be the next President in 2015.
