A revenue performance analysis of the NCS from August 2011 to August 2014, revealed that the agency collected N3tn in 44 months.

Adeniyi gave the figures at a press briefing of the Forum of Spokespersons for Security and Response Agencies organised by the i-Nigeria Initiative in Abuja on Wednesday.

He said the NCS also made 3,961 seizures comprising rice, textile materials, poultry, wine, alcoholic beverages and vehicles.

Adeniyi added that the NCS would soon commence effective Joint Border Patrol Operations with the men of the Nigeria Immigration Service to check the smuggling of small arms into the country.

He recalled that the NCS seized 6,000 rounds of ammunition along the nation’s border with Benin Republic at Oyo State.

He said, “The Nigeria Customs Service is planning a joint border patrol with the Nigeria Immigration Service to enhance border patrol.
“Already the service is providing 30 patrol vehicles and have trained 300 men for the exercise in a bid to curb criminal activities along the nation’s borders.”
This is a really good news but the bad part is that this money will not be accounted for because I am sure it will soon develop wings and disappear.
